How to Enable Cookies

Firefox Browsers All Versions

1. Go to Tools (Windows) or Firefox (Mac) menu
2. Choose Options (Windows) or Preferences (Mac) from list
3. Open the Privacy menu on left hand side of box.
4. On right hand side of box, under Cookies, check
   • Allow Sites to set cookies
   • for the originating website only (if you prefer)
5. In addition, Firefox also provides these options:
• Exceptions: you can allow or exclude cookies from specific sites.
6. Press OK

Internet Explorer IE Version 6.X

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. In Internet Options dialog box select the Privacy tab.
4. Default setting is medium. Move the slider to determine which setting you prefer. (Don't select maximum)
5. You can also click on Advanced for more specific cookie settings.
6. Check Override automatic cookie handling
7. For First-party Cookies and Third-party Cookies choose either Accept, Block or Prompt
8. Check Always allow session cookies
9. Press OK
10. Press Apply Press OK

IE Version 5.X

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Internet Options from the Tools menu.
3. In Internet Options dialog box select the Security tab.
4. Choose the Internet content zone
5. Choose Custom Level
6. Scroll down to Cookies in the list and choose either: Enable or Prompt
7. Scroll down to Allow per-session cookies (not stored) in the list and choose either:
8. Enable or Prompt before accepting cookies
9. Press OK
10. Press Apply
11. Press OK

IE Version 4.X

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Select Internet Options from the View menu.
3. Go to Advanced tab on far right. Scroll down to Cookie box in list.
4. Choose either Always accept cookies or Prompt before accepting cookies
5. Press OK

IE Version 3.X

1. Select Options from the View menu.
2. Click on the Advanced tab
3. Uncheck the "Warn before accepting cookies" checkbox

Mozilla Browsers All Versions

1. Open Mozilla
2. Choose Preferences from Edit menu
3. Open the Privacy & Security menu on left hand side of box and select Cookies.

1. Open Netscape
2. Choose Preferences from Edit menu
3. Open the Privacy & Security menu on left hand side of box and select Cookies.
4. On right hand side of box choose either:
   • Allow cookies for the originating web site only
   • Allow all cookies
5. In addition, Netscape also provides these options:

1. Go to Edit menu
2. Choose Preferences on bottom of list
3. Open the Privacy & Security menu on left hand side of box.
4. On right hand side of box choose either:
   • Enable cookies for the originating web site only
   • Enable all cookies

Netscape Version 4.X

1. Go to Edit menu
2. Choose Preferences on bottom of list
3. Click on Advanced on left hand side of box.
4. On right hand side of box choose either:
   • Accept all cookies
   • Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server

1. Go to Options menu
2. Choose Network Preferences from the list
3. Click on the Protocols tab
4. Uncheck the "Accepting a Cookie" checkbox

Opera Browsers Opera Version 8.5

1. Go to Tools menu
2. Choose Preferences from Tools menu
3. Click on the Advanced tab.
4. On the left side menu select Cookies.
5. On right side of box under Normal cookies select Accept all cookies
6. On right side of box under Third party cookies select Accept only cookies sent to the server itself or Accept all cookies
7. In addition, Opera also provides these options:
   • Throw away new cookies on exit
   • Display warning for illegal domains
   • Accept illegal path
   • Display warning for illegal path
8. Press OK

Opera Version 7.x

1. Go to File (Windows) or Opera (Mac) menu
2. Choose Preferences
3. Click on Privacy on left hand side of box.
4. On right hand side of box check the " Enable cookies" checkbox.
5. On right hand side of box select an option from the first drop-down list:
   • Accept all cookies
   • Let me decide every time I receive one
   • Treat as specified in Server Manager
6. On right hand side of box select an option from the second drop-down list:
   • Only accept cookies for the server
   • Display third-party cookies
   • Accept from any servers
7. In addition, Opera also provides these options:
